To apply for the position, please click the Apply link/button. We are seeking a motivated physician to join our program with a focus on developing expertise as a pediatric cardiac intensivist. This position offers a structured yet flexible training environment designed to advance both specialized imaging capabilities and comprehensive pediatric cardiology skills through a progressively independent clinical practice. The selected candidate will receive strong mentorship and professional development support, with clear expectations aligned to established program goals, structure, and performance standards. Responsibilities will evolve in alignment with the candidate’s progress, individual career objectives, and patient care needs. This role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of pediatric cardiac care, while supporting the mission of the department and the College of Medicine in delivering high-quality care to children across Arkansas.

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a pediatric residency program.
  • Focused training in Pediatric Critical Care/Cardiology.
  • Arkansas medical licensure.
  • Board eligible or board certification in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in alignment with the mission and goals of the College of Medicine.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, with a focus on addressing the healthcare needs of children in Arkansas.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the development of educational programs within the College of Medicine.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, such as research, presentations, or quality improvement initiatives, consistent with personal academic goals and College expectations.
