About The Position
BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND LIMERICK REGION Applications are invited for the following position: INSTRUCTOR (SENIOR GRADE) / DAY SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR Specified Purpose Contract Covering Leave LOCATION: LIMERICK COMMUNITY SERVICES
Requirements
- At least 4 years experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnosis
- Level 8 (Higher Degree) qualification in Teaching, Training and Development, Applied Social Studies/Social Care, Psychology or other relevant qualification. (A Level 7 degree will be considered from applicants who have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in the intellectual disability sector)
- Working knowledge of New Directions Framework (HSE)
- Experience in leading a team of staff in the development and implementation of person centred planning framework
- Experience of working with individuals with Autism and supporting the delivery of service to people who may display behaviours of concern
- Experience in risk management
- Experience in liaising with MDT teams, families and external agencies who may be involved in the support of people attending the services
- Supervisory ability and capability in the management of staff and people supported by the services.
- Ability to assist in service planning
- Full Clean Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of HIQA Standards and Regulations
