Job Responsibilities: Primary responsibility of the didactic/clinical instructor is teaching, academic advising students, student progression, scheduling students, assess and analysis of student learning outcomes. Cooperate with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education in periodic review and revision of didactic and clinical course(s) materials. Ensure uniform implementation of the program in the classroom and clinical setting. Following up with student charting. Responsible for ongoing communication with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education. 70% Didactic and clinical/laboratory instruction. Assist with assessment on course student learning outcomes. Assist Director of Clinical Education in ensuring sufficient inventory of program equipment and supplies. Assist in selection of textbooks for the program. 15% Academic Advising. Recruitment of potential students. Provide, under supervision of the Director of Clinical Education, the clinical direction of the Respiratory Care Program fulfilling the requirements for accreditation as defined and explained in: CoARC Standards and Guidelines. 5% Serve on university, divisional, and program committees. Develop and maintain lines of communication among the communities of interest. 5% Retrieve, assess, and record student learning outcomes. Evaluate cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills of students. Ensure accurate and safe skill performance by students; correct and remediate as appropriate. Maintain a safe practice environment. Direct students to clinical situations, which would provide students with opportunities to meet goals and objectives, increase skills and pass competency evaluations. 5% Retrieve, assess, and record student learning outcomes. Evaluate cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills of students. Ensure accurate and safe skill performance by students; correct and remediate as appropriate. Maintain a safe practice environment. Direct students to clinical situations, which would provide students with opportunities to meet goals and objectives, increase skills and pass competency evaluations. 5% Other duties as assigned.
