About The Position

The Faculty member will Help design and conduct research on the immune mechanisms of cell death during bacterial infection while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence needed for pursuit of a career. Designs and evaluates experiments. Research focus on the molecular basis of the host pathogen interaction. Develops new ideas that promote current research. Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. May be responsible for the operation of specific equipment.

Requirements

  • PhD in microbiology or a related field
  • Advanced expertise supported by a history of impactful publication cover all of these topics: protein and lipid biochemistry, molecular microbiology and genetics in Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens, molecular immunology, and in vitro and in vivo infection models.
