About The Position

Foss Swim School is seeking a temporary, full-time Instructional Media & Communications Intern to support the Learning & Development (L&D) team, with additional exposure to internal communications initiatives in partnership with Marketing. In this role, the temporary intern will help design and produce engaging training content and contribute to communication efforts tied to a large-scale software development project. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in instructional design, video production, and organizational communications, with work that directly supports employee performance and business effectiveness. Founded in 1993, FOSS is a premier swim school operating 33 locations across the Midwest and Colorado, built on the purpose of building a lifetime of confidence in and around water. Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Instructional Design, Education, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Demonstrated interest in learning & development, digital content creation, or internal communications.
Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Vyond, or similar platforms, or willingness to learn.
Strong written and visual communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Ability to work within a team environment and collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify/define training solutions for business needs.
Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and pivot when needed.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, both in schools and at the School Support Center.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating training videos using tools such as Canva and Vyond.
Support the design and development of learning materials and resources.
Collaborate with the L&D team to improve learner engagement and content quality.
Support updates and maintenance of the company intranet.
Help create visual and written content aligned to company messaging.
Collaborate on campaigns that support employee awareness and engagement.
Assist with a software development-related project by supporting content, documentation, or communication needs.
Coordinate tasks and timelines across L&D and Marketing initiatives.
Provide general project support, as needed.
