Overall, Purpose: Instructional designers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high- impact learning solutions that support business objectives across the organization. This role applies to adult learning theory, instructional system design methodologies, and modern learning technologies to create engaging and measurable learning experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, Human resources, or related field.
  • 3-7+ years of instructional design experience, preferably within financial services, banking, insurance, fin tech, or related regulatory field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in branching scenario development, gamification design principles, E learning development tools and in person/virtual training design.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS), Workday LMS a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills and project management

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years in instructional design with focus on technology, Human Resource and Professional development training programs.
  • Certification in instructional design, e learning development or learning technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Strategy and Design: Conduct training needs analysis in partnership with learning consultants, SMEs, and business.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks), to develop scalable learning solutions.
  • Align learning outcomes with organizational performance goals and regulatory requirements.
  • E learning and digital development: Design and develop interactive e learning modules using authoring tools (e.g., EZ generator, Adobe Creative Suites or similar).
  • Create complex branching scenarios which simulate real-world decision-making environments.
  • Incorporate gamification elements such as badging, points, leaderboards, and scenario-based challenges) to increase learner engagement and retention.
  • Ensure SCORM/XAPI compliance and LMS compatibility.
  • Instructor- Led and Virtual Training: Design comprehensive facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments for in person training.
  • Develop engaging VILT experiences leveraging adult learning principles and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Evaluation and Continuous improvement: Develop assessment strategies and evaluation metrics (Kirkpatrick levels 1-4, where applicable)
  • Collaboration: Manage multiple concurrent projects with defined timelines and quality standards Provide consultative guidance to learning consultants and stakeholders on optimal delivery modalities.
