About The Position

Plan, design, and facilitate comprehensive faculty training sessions on the application and use of online teaching tools, incorporating best practices for instructional design and adult learning principles.) Provide expert consultation and ongoing support to faculty and subject matter experts during the course development and redesign phases, aligning with institutional standards and pedagogical best practices. Develop, curate, and deliver both synchronous and asynchronous instructional resources that support faculty and students in effectively navigating and excelling within online teaching and learning environments Provide targeted support to students requiring assistance in online learning environments, addressing technical challenges, accessibility issues, and offering strategies to enhance their academic success Collaborate in the integration and continual improvement of quality standards for online teaching and learning, helping ensure courses meeting institutional and industry benchmarks for excellence. Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging educational technologies into the online teaching and learning environment, enhancing instructional effectiveness, and student engagement. Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, with the ability to apply these concepts to create effective online course activities that align with course, program, and institutional outcomes.
  • Presenting training courses for digital and learning management systems/technologies for stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in presenting and instructing both groups and individuals, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
  • Advanced skills in Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia creation tools (e.g., Camtasia), webinar platforms, and software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and interface design tools.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Capability to learn new educational technology systems and technology systems overall and implement them to address identified learning and engagement challenges across multiple projects. Problem identification and mitigation abilities are important.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and integrate new technology systems to effectively address evolving learning challenges.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving within an educational technology context.
  • Support faculty and students in both in-person and remote settings
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field
  • Conduct training at all campus locations and attend professional development opportunities when funding is available.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years' experience as an Instructional Designer, Online Instructor, or Instructional Technology Support Specialist.
