Requirements

3 years' experience developing instructor-led training and on-the-job tasks for technical skills.
3 years of experience with Storyline, QuestionMark and Author-It.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design and methodologies.
Proven experience performing task analysis.
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiplepeting deadlines, as needed.
Experience developing technical training for adult learners.

Nice To Haves

Client's Academy experience a plus.
Technical writing experience a plus.
Utility experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Primary designer and developer for instructor-led, web-based, and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the utilities industry.
Leverage and established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs, analyzeplex content, and evaluate delivered training.
Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media.
Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed.
Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training in design and content.
Define learning objectives, and course structure aligned to stakeholder needs and to meet the constraints of the learning environment.
Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to pany standards, guidelines, and templates.
Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
Lead milestone meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and train the trainer.
Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.
Receive and incorporate feedback.
Self-managed tasks and deadlines toplete deliverables.
Proactivelymunicate issues and risks.
