About The Position

Instructional Design Specialist McElroy Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Learning Strategist to design, develop, and optimize learning solutions that support operational excellence, product mastery, and business growth. This role partners across the company to translate complex technical knowledge into effective, scalable learning experiences for employees, customers, and channel partners. The ideal candidate blends instructional design expertise, technical curiosity, and a product-led mindset to enable performance, adoption, and value realization across the McElroy team. What You’ll Do: Instructional Design & Learning Strategy Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create structured, outcome-driven learning solutions Conduct learning needs analyses with internal stakeholders to identify performance gaps and opportunities Design measurable learning objectives aligned to operational, product, and customer outcomes Ensure instructional consistency, quality, and scalability across learning programs Product & Technical Learning Content Development Develop clear, engaging instructional content that translates products, systems, and processes into accessible learning experiences Create technical training, onboarding materials, and performance support tools Convert complex product and process information into learner-friendly formats Support field, manufacturing, service, and customer education needs Product-Led Sales Enablement & Customer Education Create learning content that supports product discovery, onboarding, and feature adoption Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to align education with sales motions and customer journeys Enable self-service learning experiences that support informed customer decision-making and value realization Learning Technology & Delivery Management Manage and maintain learning content within LMS or other learning platforms Ensure learning assets are current, modular, reusable, and accessible Leverage learning technologies and authoring tools to optimize delivery and learner experience Use platform insights and data to improve learning usability and reach Measurement, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Track learner engagement, completion, and effectiveness metrics Gather feedback from learners, product teams, and sales stakeholders Iterate and improve learning content based on performance data and evolving business needs Demonstrate learning impact on operational performance, product adoption, and sales enablement What We’re Looking For: Instructional Design & Learning Expertise Strong foundation in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles Experience conducting needs analyses and designing outcome-based learning objectives Ability to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across learning programs Technical & Product Learning Skills Experience developing technical or product-focused learning content Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical learning materials Comfort supporting diverse audiences, including field, manufacturing, service, and customer learners Sales Enablement & Customer Education Mindset Understanding of product-led learning and customer education strategies Experience collaborating with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams Ability to design learning that supports adoption, usage, and customer value Learning Technology & Data Fluency Experience working with LMS platforms and learning authoring tools Ability to manage modular, reusable, and accessible learning assets Comfort using data and feedback to optimize learning delivery and effectiveness Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Strong stakeholder communication and partnership skills Analytical mindset with a focus on measurement and iteration Ability to adapt learning solutions as business needs evolve
