About The Position

Jenks Public Schools Job Description Position: Instructional Assistant – Elementary Summer Literacy Academy, K-3rd Grade (2 openings) Reports to: Elementary Summer Literacy Academy Principals, Director of Student Learning and Literacy Supervises: None Qualifications: Associate degree or 48 hours of completed higher education; BS or BA degree preferred. Satisfies all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills (works well with parents, students, and staff). Demonstrates knowledge of reading strategies for elementary students. Spanish and/or Zomi speaking abilities preferred. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Collaborates with teacher regarding instructional plans. Assists with classroom lessons and activities. Facilitates small groups as designed by teacher. Assists with parent communication and attendance. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Terms of Employment: Jenks Public Schools Temporary Assignment Contract - June 1 - June 25, 2026; Monday-Thursday, 8:30am -12:30pm. Dates subject to change pending Board approval of last day of school. Compensation: Currently held JPS position hourly rate. Summer Program in-service trainings will be conducted for staff prior to the program starting date; Dates and times - TBD.

Requirements
