About The Position
The librarian will design, develop, and teach student-centered, course-integrated information literacy sessions, as well as participate in assessment efforts for the continuous improvement of the library’s instruction program and its contributions to student success. This position reports to the Head of Reference and will also have reference and collection development responsibilities, including some evenings and weekend hours.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in library science or equivalent from an ALA -accredited program.
- Demonstrated interest in information literacy theory and practice.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion
Nice To Haves
- Experience with library instruction, such as orientations, curriculum-integrated workshops, and faculty workshops.
- Experience working in an academic library environment.
