This position is on-site, 40 hours per week as scheduled with your supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Master's Degree in Library Science.
Library experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct orientations, research sessions, and workshops for library users to explain services, resources, and policies.
Produce and maintain instructional and research guides as needed or as requested by supervisor.
Provide reference and research services at the service desk and online through the library reference system.
Provide accurate circulation, interlibrary loan, and inter-campus loan services.
Collect and report library usage data monthly and as requested.
Maintain familiarity with the library collection and resources. Recommend print and electronic materials to support assigned subject areas.
Communicate with assigned academic department(s) for collection development, and for the promotion and development of new user services and online initiatives.
Participate in collection management, evaluation, and weeding decisions for assigned subject areas.
Supervise and train clerks and Federal Work Study in various library duties.
Participate in assigned department teams, projects, and committees.
Participate in Welcome Sessions and other assigned campus events to represent the library department.
Attend all department and institutional meetings and training sessions as requested by supervisor.
Participate in a minimum of one professional development and one community service activity each year.
