Using CMMs, hand tools, and visual inspections, you’ll verify accuracy throughout the production process. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year working in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment; medical device or aerospace preferred.
  • Ability to express ideas, share information, listen actively, and demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communications.
  • Promotes a sense of urgency to expedite work through the area while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to make effective and timely decisions.
  • Ability to use and read inspection tools and equipment (calipers, pin gages, micrometers, etc.).
  • Ensure all internal customers receive positive service experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in various computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year certificate or degree in related technical field preferred.
  • medical device or aerospace preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and ERP systems (Epicor or other) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process, final, and first article inspections based on customer blueprints and specifications.
  • Visually inspect parts for surface finishes, and cosmetic criteria.
  • Perform material receiving activities as defined.
  • Collect, record, maintain, and store inspection records electronically for traceability.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including a comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Load, operate, and manage Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Visual Coordinate Measuring Machines (VCMMs) for accurate measurements.
