About The Position

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking an Inspection Technician to support SMT inspection processes within the Manufacturing and Process Engineering Department. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for supporting high-volume PCBA production by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting inspection equipment to ensure product quality and defect detection in a fast-paced Smart Manufacturing environment. The Inspection Technician will operate SPI, AOI, AXI, and post-pack inspection systems, support inspection program adjustments, and assist engineering teams in maintaining accurate and efficient inspection processes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 1+ year of experience in SMT manufacturing or inspection processes preferred
  • Experience operating SPI, AOI, or AXI systems preferred
  • Basic understanding of SMT processes including stencil printing, reflow soldering, and PCB assembly
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and electronic defect identification
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, process documentation, and inspection criteria
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support SMT inspection systems including SPI, AOI, AXI, and Pack AOI equipment
  • Run and verify inspection programs to ensure accurate defect detection and minimal false calls
  • Assist with setup, changeovers, and validation of inspection programs for new and existing products
  • Monitor inspection results, identify defect trends, and escalate process concerns to engineering teams
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of inspection equipment including vision systems, lighting, conveyors, and software issues
  • Support preventive maintenance and calibration activities for inspection equipment
  • Maintain inspection documentation and ensure adherence to IPC standards and internal quality requirements
  • Assist with data collection for SPC monitoring and yield improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Process, Quality, and Production teams to resolve inspection-related issues
  • Support NPI builds by assisting with inspection setup and verification
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection equipment and work areas
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Other duties as assigned
