About The Position

The Gluer Inspector Packer / Feeder should be capable of feeding and/or packing on all the folder/gluers and window machine, as well as being able to flat pack. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Factory experience preferred.
  • Able to work independently and on teams while demonstrating safe work practices.
  • basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Keep die positions separate when feeding machines on critical jobs as designated by the person in charge of the shift.
  • Ability to stop and start machinery during the run.
  • Ability to clear machine in case of a jam‐up.
  • Employees shall rotate every hour between feeding, case making, inspecting/palletizing.
  • Must have basic knowledge of color standards set by SPBCo.
  • Assist with carton repairs.
  • Sort cartons for defects when needed.
  • Ability to pack finished product on delivery end of folder/gluer.
  • Ability to read the job ticket and know any information required for the job
  • Ensure good product is coming off the line and stop the line/question when a defect is seen.
  • Ability to fill out proper paperwork
  • Air hammer / hand strip product when needed.
  • Material handling – relocating loads throughout department where needed.
  • Guillotine liners/dividers for orders.
  • Replace recycle bins (when full) with an empty bin.
  • Proper entry into PDE for job being performed.
  • Assist, when needed, with training of new employees in department
  • Assist in maintenance and janitorial duties when needed. This would include cleaning glue pots, machinery, work area and other areas of the plant; dump garbage/recycle bins when full.
