About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for an has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: Uses appropriate safety measures Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained Records and maintains documentation and data as required. Follows applicable work instructions. Use good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area. Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel. Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: Wall Mic. 0”-2” OD Mic, assorted hand tools, brass hammer, hacksaw, and draw pins and dies. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: To draw copper tubing to a specified OD and wall requirement per draw schedule. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Coordinates with pointer operator to ensure optimum block output, record and submit required drawing data to supervisor. JOB DESCRIPTION: Get draw schedule and cycle schedule from supervisor at start of shift. Set up block for drawing. Operate block at specified FPM and/or Amp. Rating. Make necessary change over as required to meet proper tolerances. (Tolerances of tube wall +.0005 tube O.D. +.002). Check first coil of next to last cycle and last cycle for proper dimensions. Job requires average mental and visual demand to ensure safety of self and others as well as quality of drawing. Responsible for maintaining quality and cleanliness of issued pins and die sets. Help train new employees. Call for maintenance when needed. Notify supervisor of block malfunction. Assist maintenance if needed. Perform minor repairs if possible. Keep machinery assigned and work area neat, clean and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
