About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Inside Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The role focuses on fostering existing relationships, targeting new business, and driving sales growth. Candidates should be comfortable with a high volume of calls, qualifying prospects, converting quotes to invoices, and closing sales with an emphasis on customer partnership. The Inside Technical Sales Representative reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience (preferably in component sales)
  • Mechanical background is helpful
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with strong follow-through
  • Proactive in researching, identifying, and developing new sales opportunities
  • Ability to retain and expand business with existing customers
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Effective multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities
  • Experience with CRM systems or similar tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to promote products to targeted vertical market segments in coordination with company marketing plans
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails
  • Receive transferred calls from customer service
  • Provide professional problem-solving support to customers
  • Support sales representatives and distributors with technical questions
  • Manage assigned regions, territories, states, and key accounts
  • Meet quarterly quotas for assigned territory, customer group, and company goals
  • Track progress and maintain accurate documentation in CRM system
  • Participate in required training sessions
  • Contribute to company growth objectives
  • Provide regional support as needed
