About The Position

The Inside Sales Engineer provides technical inside sales and applications engineering support for KNF pump products. This role acts as a key technical and commercial resource for customers and will include liaising with internal teams including Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Repair , delivering optimized solutions that meet customer application, performance, and commercial requirements . Compensation: $62,000-75,000 annually based on experience, plus an Incentive Reward Program (bonus) and a comprehensive low-cost benefits package including medical, prescription, vision, dental, 401(k) with company contribution, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • 0–5+ years of experience in inside sales engineering, technical sales, applications engineering, or technical customer support
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand electro‑mechanical systems
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Effective written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑facing skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering coursework or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with: Diaphragm pumps
  • Fluid handling systems

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries and qualified sales leads related to product selection, application engineering, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Provide technical sales support for our extensive range of diaphragm vacuum pumps
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and application data
  • Recommend appropriate pump solutions for new and existing applications
  • Prepare sales quotations, pricing proposals, and technical documentation
  • Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities through assessment and application review
  • Collaborate with inside and field sales teams to transition opportunities from qualification to order
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for customers across engineering, procurement, quality, service, and management
  • Communicate customer requirements internally to Production, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Customer Service
  • Document customer interactions and opportunity data in CRM systems to support forecasting, market analysis, pricing strategies, and new product development
  • Representing KNF at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings
  • Travel up to 10%, including occasional domestic and international travel
