Job Summary: The Inside Sales – New Business role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while supporting overall sales growth. This position focuses on prospecting, qualifying leads, and building relationships primarily through inside sales activities, including phone, email, and virtual meetings. The role requires a proactive, hunter-oriented approach to generating new accounts, while also supporting outside sales efforts as needed. Occasional travel is required to meet with customers, attend industry events, or support sales initiatives. The Inside Sales – New Business role works closely with the Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication, accurate reporting, and effective execution of sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent sales experience considered.
  • 3+ years of inside sales or business development experience, with proven success in outbound prospecting and new business acquisition.
  • Hunter mindset: resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, and virtual).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or specialty products markets a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively research, identify, and qualify new customer opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline across targeted industries and geographies.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and align solutions effectively.
  • Deliver virtual presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with outside sales and technical teams to support customer requirements and close opportunities.
  • Participate in occasional customer visits (10–20% travel) to strengthen relationships and close business.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as needed.
  • Partner with Marketing on lead generation campaigns and provide timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting regularly on pipeline activity, competitive insights, and customer trends.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
