About The Position

As a member of the inside sales team at First Star Safety, the objective of the this will-call support personnel is to oversee the sales operations in the warehouse and storage yard. This role is central to ensuring that our clients receive the construction safety equipment they need in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of customer service, sales processes, and the construction safety industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in sales, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in construction, safety or related industry.
  • Strong computer and email skills
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Point of Sale (POS) software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle busy periods efficiently.
  • Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., seeing and reading
  • All FSS employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment. FSS may condition offers of employment upon taking and passing of a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Adobe is a plus
  • Knowledge of construction safety equipment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Will Call counter, ensuring prompt service to customers picking up orders.
  • Assist customers in product selection based on their specific needs.
  • Process and fulfill will call orders promptly.
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, whether in-person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Check items to be delivered and coordinate when they need to be delivered.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, and returns.
  • Ensure product knowledge is current and up-to-date across all items in the inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels in the will call area, alerting the purchasing department of potential stock shortages.
  • Stay updated on current sales promotions, product features, and associated benefits.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the organization's sales and customer service departments, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and foster team unity.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks as needed to support the overall organization's objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the will call and sales department.
