About The Position

The Inside Sales Support Representative will support and enable front line sales teams to sell better, faster, and more efficiently through operational support and training. This role will help achieve sales goals by developing and nurturing new leads, communicating with, and understanding the needs of customers and channel partners, and working with sales teammates to ensure smooth sales processes. This role could also assist in closing sales. Other activities could include event attendance, development of sales collateral, customer intelligence research, data entry, maintenance of records, support of new technology and sales tools and other operational support to our sales organization.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and be proficient in Midmark’s Sales Process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; negotiation and closing skills preferred
  • Ability to represent Midmark in a professional manner with a wide variety of customers at all management levels
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and working well with internal support teams
  • Positive attitude, good listener, willing to take initiative, prepared, creative, and adaptable
  • Ability to analyze data, decipher and problem-solve issues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Customer Relations Management system a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Associate’s degree and 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides operational support and training for field sales representatives
  • Assists and supports searching for, qualifying and nurturing leads (both new customers and existing)
  • Participates during tradeshows, events, channel-partner trainings, and customer visits as needed
  • Manages and creates best practices for sales technology and tools and supports sales training of them (including Salesforce.com)
  • Develops and grows relationships with channel partners, working collaboratively to execute on requests
  • Responds to customer inquiries and assists customers in product selections, training materials and/or collateral as requested
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all products and services relative to division of support
  • Works in coordination with Marketing to support pricing, collateral, activities, and events as needed to support sales
  • Updates reference documents pertaining to sales and internal teams
  • Participates in cross-functional projects, initiatives, and committees
  • Utilizes, supports, and manages referenceable sites that benefit our sales team
