About The Position

This position supports members with their purchasing needs, maintains daily contact with members and vendors, and contributes to corporate goals by applying purchasing and selling skills. Essential Functions: Manage 30+ member accounts, sourcing products with the best value. Handle all trader duties, including order generation, confirmations, shipments, and follow-ups. Stay informed on market trends, supply issues, and industry developments, advising members on optimal buying times. Engage with members/vendors to boost sales and cost penetration. Build strong relationships with key vendors and members to drive sales and programs. Resolve member/vendor issues, including conflicts, billing, and late shipments. Promote LBM Advantage suppliers to the membership. Continuously enhance product and industry knowledge. Drive profitability, product mix, and customer sales through research and collaboration. Develop competitive pricing strategies and close sales by securing orders and handling fulfillment. Provide excellent customer service to build long-term relationships. Identify and close new sales opportunities, focusing on the most profitable accounts. Supervisory Responsibilities This role has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment This full-time position operates in a professional office environment. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week. Physical Demands : This is a largely sedentary role. Travel: Travel is primarily local on a regular basis, although some out of the area and overnight travel may be expected

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales position

Nice To Haves

  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Building Materials or Construction industry experience
  • Experience with quoting, purchasing, estimating, and telemarketing
