About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for responding to inbound inquiries, providing product and service information, and offering expert advice and support to customers. This role involves identifying potential leads and proactively engaging with prospective customers through various channels such as calls and emails. Key duties include processing customer orders, preparing quotes, and managing customer accounts to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction. The representative will track and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities, assist with pricing negotiations, and support sales closures. Collaboration with outside sales, customer service, and operations teams is essential for coordinating orders and deliveries. The position also requires providing after-sales support, troubleshooting issues, and addressing customer complaints, while striving to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and performance metrics. Continuous learning about product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings is expected to effectively communicate product benefits. Additionally, the role involves cultivating existing customer relationships for satisfaction and retention, and conducting meetings with branch and service managers to discuss equipment needs and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other relevant tools
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and effectively communicate technical product details
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service expertise
  • Strong planning, problem solving, and negotiation ability
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 pounds or more
  • High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction terminology is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1-5 years’ experience in inside sales within the equipment rental or similar industry

Responsibilities
