Inside Sales Representative

About The Position

General Purpose: To increase sales volume/revenue of sign and lighting service work by contacting retail establishments via phone, making them aware of the issue/outage and receiving authorization to schedule a technician to come on site. You are supported by part-time employees who drive specific routes and capture outages with photo images and written descriptions logged in our proprietary software. Unlike other solicitations, you will only be contacting locations where a need for our service has already been identified. Compensation will include a base rate plus commission. Training is provided. This position will be trained in Salt Lake but will sell service in the Idaho Falls and surrounding area. Eventually, this person will be expected to spend 3-4 days per month in the Idaho Falls branch.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required with ongoing or completed undergraduate studies preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to learn a proprietary web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Present self professionally both on phone and in person
  • Become knowledgeable in service offering and sales approach
  • Motivate self to perform required tasks

  • Prior sales with commission experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attempt to contact 7-8 new leads per hour including the following tasks:
  • Review prior activities logged in our proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) tool
  • Browse lead’s online presence to enhance the conversation
  • Contact the lead via phone and identify the decision maker
  • Make them aware of the need for service
  • Answer any questions/concerns
  • Close the sale by getting authorization to schedule a technician
  • Enter relevant information into the CRM tool for future reference
  • Attempt to follow-up on previously contacted leads where the process outlined above was not completed (e.g. decision maker was not identified or able to speak at the moment)
  • Sell prospective customers on the benefits of using YESCO as a service provider
  • Follow scripting where appropriate to ensure uniform customer experience
  • Maintain close working relationships with sales/scheduling resources at the local offices you support to enable seamless transition of leads back to the local office for scheduling/support
  • Resolve and/or re-direct customer complaints as appropriate
  • Create and support a positive work environment
  • Exhibit professionalism in appearance, conduct, and judgment
  • Attend meetings when invited and provide feedback to the management team
  • Support training of other inside salespeople and local account managers
