About The Position

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative. Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals. Position Summary: Find new customers by utilizing company provided third party databases- i.e. Dodge, IIR, etc. The Rental ISR will be the point person for all inbound customers without prior business history with CBEC. Attend trade shows & develop an understanding of the support needs of the customer for the PS Rental Dept. Work with the marketing department and identify  inactive and conquest accounts. This is a hunter position with the desire to learn and grow professionally. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self starting, multitask capable, and a good communicator.

Requirements

  • Understand construction phases, job situations and project conditions to properly time contacting customer with rental product and application suggestions.
  • Knowledge of entire rental fleet and ability to demonstrate equipment whenever appropriate to increase customer awareness of product's applications.  
  • Negotiation- The ability to stay calm and address any concerns or negotiate terms that align with customer and company standards.   
  • Active Listening – Understanding customer needs. Understanding the customer needs and aligning the needs of the customer to the appropriate equipment expresses in-depth knowledge of our product
  • Great people skills & Written communication
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, CRM)
  • Inside and/or Outside sales experience
  • Ability to call on active job sites when needed
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Make a minimum of 5 outbound and 10 inbound calls per day
  • Achieve New Customer Goals.
  • Achieve Sales and Sales Lead Goals
  • Upselling – Promote additional products, services, and equipment to existing and new customers.
  • Post Rental Follow Up Calls- Calling customers after equipment has been returned to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and generate referrals for further opportunities.
  • Point person for web and media-based rentals
  • Attend Trade Shows for development of Power Systems Rental
  • 100% of calls, leads, and opportunities reports to be completed CRM database (NAXT CE)
  • Respond to customer calls or emails in a timely basis with a sense of urgency.
  • Achieve Goals set for Rentals, New Customer Accounts, inactive Accounts, Sales (new or used for allied or CAT machines within scope of responsibility)
  • Develop a database of customers, companies, competitors and project information.
  • Use various reporting services, association contacts and other database means to prepare for upcoming projects in the area.
  • Maintain good organization and time management skills for effective territory coverage.
  • Assist in past due account collection.
  • Keep a supply of sales tools including company brochures, product specification sheets, and promotional items on hand and utilize them creatively to meet customer demands.
  • Work closely with Rental Coordinator & Salesmen to make sure all leads or rentals are completed timely.
  • Assist Salespeople and coordinators in their functions
  • Be the customer's problem solver, handling follow-up calls and customer problems effectively involving the Rental Manager or service department when necessary.
  • Involved in local trade associations to network and further develop solid customer relationships.
  • Provide some customer support as required after hours to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Present sales presentations as required. Verbal, Written or Power Point.
  • Visit jobs sites with Outside Sales Representatives to learn application of product and customer needs
