About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative for Rekor Scout plays a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth and expanding market adoption of Scout’s AI-powered traffic intelligence and License Plate Recognition (LPR) solutions. This role requires a strong technical foundation, the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly, and comfort engaging in high-volume outreach. Inside Sales Representatives act as a critical bridge between customers, channel partners, and technical teams—qualifying opportunities, delivering remote product demonstrations, supporting proof-of-value discussions, and driving deals to close across commercial, public safety, and smart city use cases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, pre-sales, or technical solution sales within a technology or SaaS environment
  • Prior exposure to video analytics, AI/ML, computer vision, IoT, or intelligent transportation systems strongly preferred
  • Comfortable supporting technical discovery conversations and solution positioning
  • Willingness to travel up to 5–10% as required
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and data-driven pipeline management
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts such as cloud vs. edge deployments, APIs, data flows, and system integrations
  • Experience supporting channel-led sales motions and multi-stakeholder technical buying processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical value into business outcomes
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics and customer engagement data
  • Team-oriented, self-driven, and accountable with a strong customer-first mentality

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound and inbound prospect engagement to identify, qualify, and advance Scout opportunities
  • Engage technical and business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and map Scout’s AI, LPR, and traffic analytics capabilities to customer needs
  • Schedule and deliver remote product demonstrations, including technical walkthroughs of Scout features, workflows, and integrations
  • Support channel partners by qualifying leads, coordinating demos, and assisting with pre-sales technical discovery
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Scout’s architecture, deployment models, APIs, and integration points
  • Accurately manage pipeline activity, customer records, and opportunity progression in Salesforce
  • Respond to technical and commercial inquiries, providing follow-up documentation, use cases, and solution guidance
  • Monitor competitive offerings in the AI traffic, mobility analytics, and LPR space and articulate Scout’s differentiation
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle and contribute to closing new business against defined targets
