About The Position

As an Aggregate Inside Sales Representative at Dolese, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, helping them find the right aggregate products for their projects. You’ll manage inbound inquiries, identify new opportunities, prepare quotes, and coordinate deliveries for aggregate products such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone. You’ll build lasting relationships with contractors and project managers while learning the business from the inside out. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a sales or related role required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to be professional and courteous when communicating with customers.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to greet and assist customers courteously on the phone or in person.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction aggregate materials preferred; familiarity with gradations and applications a plus.
  • CRM experience preferred; experience with quoting systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and rural geographic areas a plus.
  • Familiarity with local contractors a plus.
  • Basic understanding of transportation regulations and weight limits preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review bid sites twice daily to identify projects that align with company capabilities.
  • Manage assigned territory by researching customers and accounts to identify new opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to advance the sales process.
  • Negotiate sales terms and close sales on assigned aggregate products and/or generate leads for outside sales staff.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals by following the established sales process, emphasizing proper client qualification, providing the best solutions, and closing sales in a satisfactory manner.
  • Prepare and adjust quotes based on material costs, transportation rates, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and Customer Financial Services (CFS) teams to ensure timely delivery of aggregate products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate availability to customers.
  • Record market intelligence and maintain accurate records of bids, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with and support outside sales staff.
  • Provide backup support for other inside sales staff and perform clerical and administrative functions as needed.
  • Answer inbound calls and assist customers with inquiries.
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service while demonstrating a friendly and genuine demeanor.
  • Perform other internal and external customer service duties as requested.
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
