About The Position

The Inside Sales Team Manager leads the inside sales team and plays a central role in coordinating sales workflow, managing project assignments, and ensuring consistent communication between operations, sales, and customers. This position provides leadership, supports complex projects, and helps drive efficiency through process alignment, reporting, and team development. The ideal candidate is a strong organizer with a collaborative mindset who can balance people leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day inside operations activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred; 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, contracting, or similar environment — or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, or mechanical/general contracting is helpful.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a team preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support for the inside operations sales team.
  • Monitor daily employee activities, workloads, and performance; assign new projects as received.
  • Train new sales staff on procedures and ERP system
  • Manage staff schedules, onboarding, and ongoing training to support skill development
  • Conduct weekly Inside Operations sales meetings and participate in weekly sales meetings prepared to discuss bid list activity.
  • Work with VP of Operations/Sales to develop, review, and refine operational processes and policies.
  • Continue performing inside operations responsibilities on larger or more complex projects.
  • Create and distribute reports to the Operations Manager and leadership team.
  • Conduct annual employee performance reviews and support a positive team culture.
  • Identify operational challenges, recommend improvements, and contribute to continuous growth initiatives.
  • Support communication flow between team members, leadership, customers, and cross-functional departments.
