About The Position

The Inside Sales Intern role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how sales, customer service, and operations work together in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will work directly with the Inside Sales team to support real customer projects, manage important order details, and gain experience in sales communication, problem-solving, and coordinating deliveries. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working with people, want exposure to the sales process from start to finish, and are eager to take on meaningful responsibilities that impact the customer experience. This position is expected to start in-person around May 2026 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e., May 2026 through August 2026). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to engage in sales conversations and customer outreach
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Commitment to accuracy in sales-related documentation and processes

Responsibilities

  • Support the Inside Sales team in daily operations and customer interactions
  • Assist with: Data entry and maintaining accurate sales and customer records
  • General sales support, including preparing quotes and organizing the estimating folder
  • Fielding cold calls and routing inquiries to appropriate team members
  • Coordinating truck scheduling and delivery logistics
  • Assisting with credit review processes
  • Conducting proactive sales outreach to strengthen customer relationships
  • Collaborate with operations, production, transportation, and installation teams to ensure order accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Review customer information to ensure alignment with order requirements and internal processes
  • Identify potential issues or changes needed and help prepare change orders
  • Maintain attention to detail when handling documentation, timelines, and customer communication
