About The Position

The Inpatient Therapist role at Cedar Springs Hospital involves providing individual, group, and family therapy to clients within Acute Units. Therapists are primarily responsible for treatment and discharge planning and interact with community agencies and referral sources throughout the client's treatment. Cedar Springs Hospital is dedicated to delivering high-quality services to individuals and families dealing with mental illness or substance abuse, utilizing innovative services, appropriate levels of care, individually tailored programs, and highly qualified mental health professionals. The hospital provides multidisciplinary behavioral health care services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of personal computer
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Able to complete required paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements
Must be able to maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families
Ability to act professionally in high stress situations
Must be licensed (in Colorado) as a CSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCC, LMFT, or MFT
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work
One year clinical experience working with adults
Valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record (for some positions)
CPR and first aid certification
Successful completion of a background check
Successful completion of a drug screen
