Inpatient Hospice Nurse, LPN

The Inpatient Hospice Nurse, LPN is responsible for providing skilled nursing bedside care to the terminally ill patient. Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.
- One-year of recent experience in an acute facility preferred.
- Successful completion of skills assessment.
- Possess and maintain current certification in CPR for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Must have good observational/nursing judgement and communication skills.
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina

Responsibilities
- Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
- Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers that will meet their expectations.
- Provides comfort to patient/family to facilitate quality of life and death with dignity
- Maintains current electronic documentation and submits every shift
- Teaches and counsels the patient/family regarding
- Maintains regular communication with supervisor
- Stays abreast of overall patient care and improves nursing care skills
- Works in GIP level of care when necessary, accompanied by a RN, and administers required meds. (PO, SQ, IV) prn, enters skilled need note in EMR on assigned patients in GIP. Enters timely IDG notes for Residential patients.
- Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth
- Demonstrates a willingness to be cost-effective in the use of Agency resources, the monitoring of waste, and the proper and safe use of supplies and equipment.
- Adheres to 3HC's Personnel Policy and performs other performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to promote the successful operations and future growth of 3HC.
