About The Position

Reporting to a Correctional Program Supervisor, this position will function in the Programs section at a medium custody male correctional facility, this position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Coordinating all offender transfers in and out of the facility; including all paperwork/notifications to the facility staff and working closely with transportation staff. 2. Researching offender's pending charges using AOC and CJ Leads. 3. Meeting with offenders to process paperwork with required signatures. 4. Communicating frequently with local law enforcement, probation, clerk of courts, DA's offices, Combined Records, family members, and other prison facilities. 5. Notifying facility staff of upcoming releases. 6. Reconciling daily of the facility court screen by checking AOC and calling the clerk of court. 7. Processing additional sentences by entering them into OPUS and having the offender finger printed. 8. Filing and archiving documentation in offender files. 9. Notarizing documents as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate AND four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Documented knowledge of NCDAC policies and procedures and of correctional programs in general.
  • Documented knowledge of record keeping.
  • Documented knowledge working with other state and local agencies dealing with criminal laws and regulations.
