About The Position

As an Initial Reviewer at LJA Land Development will be responsible for confirming information presented on Single-Family Residential and Offsite Utility Construction Plans meets Agency criteria, matches Plat information, accurately labels the proposed design, and meets basic land development design criteria using Autodesk Civil 3D tools and applying engineering fundamentals.

Requirements

Minimum of an Associate's Degree.
1 or more years of drafting experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Flexibility to change work assignments on short notice and under intensive deadlines

Responsibilities

Confirm design meets Agency and basic Civil Engineering criteria
Annotate Civil 3D Base File and Proposed Surface to utilize in the Submittal Plan Review
Confirm Construction Plans match Final Plat information
Review Single Family Residential Underground Utilities and Paving Submittal Plans
Review Offsite Utilities (Water, Sanitary Sewer, Force Main, etc.) Submittal Plans
Identify Utility Clearances and Constructability Concerns of Underground Utilities
Understand and Identify Construction Details
Ability to Calculate / Analyze Slopes and Grades for Pavement Complying with Criteria while considering Natural Topography
Write a Summary for each Submittal Plan Review
Other Assigned Duties as required
