The job profile for this position is Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Requirements

  • Requires Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus three years of experience as a programmer analyst or DevOps engineer or a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus five years of experience as a programmer analyst or DevOps engineer.
  • Must have experience with: Scaled Agile Framework DevOps principles; Ansible; Python development; Pega; Java; RHEL; Java containers (EAP/JWS); Oracle and PostgreSQL; Jenkins; Git; Splunk; Dynatrace; JIRA; Confluence; Docker; OpenShift; Kubernetes; Terraform.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate DevOps practices and implement automation tools working closely with other delivery, engineering, and operational teams throughout the iterative development cycle.
  • Design consistent and reusable automation/deployment tools using industry standard technology.
  • Provide overall engineering patterns for building and maintaining infrastructure for many assets across different coding languages.
  • Establish and promote Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) DevOps Engineering best practices.
  • Drive issue resolution for infrastructure issues.
  • Update and design new procedures as needed to optimize performance.
  • Lead engineers to complete infrastructure and automation project work.
  • Support code and database deployments for all SDLC environments.
  • Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with security requirements.
  • Specify, document, and develop new product features and write automation scripts so that others may learn and utilize the functionality.
  • Work with open-source technologies as needed.
  • Work with CI and CD tools and source control such as Ansible, Jenkins, Udeploy, and GIT.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies across the Agile release train to produce results conducive to company interests.
  • Work in an Agile framework and attend Scrum/Kanban ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Sprint review and retrospective, etc.
