About The Position

The IT Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization's core infrastructure systems including servers, appliance, and server-based software. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of servers, storage, networks, and cloud services, while providing technical expertise for daily operations. This position will also serve as a backup to the Desktop Support Technician and Service Desk Personnel as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in banking technology and system administration, or a similar role required.
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications preferred; VMware and Microsoft 365 certifications are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based network architectures and protocols.
  • Experience with VMware, Azure, Active Directory, and enterprise backup systems.
  • Strong understanding of server administration, networking fundamentals, and virtualization.
  • Proficient in break/fix troubleshooting, installations, and system upgrades.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting software on the above platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Citrix VDI environment preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server, network, and storage infrastructure.
  • Administer Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Manage system updates, patches, backups, and participate in disaster recovery processes.
  • Partner with internal teams to support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and new implementations.
  • Ensure security best practices across systems, including access controls and compliance requirements.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and technical processes.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated infrastructure issues.
