About The Position

The IT Support position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks within VRC Companies, LLC (the “Company” or “VRC”) in a technical support role.

  • Must be able to tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to reach, handle, carry, and lift between 10 lbs. and 50 lbs. While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
  • 1-2 years of college specializing in Information Technology or equivalent on-thejob experience
  • Must be able to pass random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Ability to assess each internal client’s IT knowledge levels.
  • Must be able to deal with difficult clients.
  • Must be up to date with technical knowledge.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of the software and equipment that clients are using.

Responsibilities

  • Provide users with basic technical support related to PCs, mobile devices, RFID equipment, peripherals, associated software, etc.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for basic network issues like networking printers and handling failure of cables or non-managed network hardware.
  • Provide limited user account support such as drive mapping and password resets, but not creation/deletion of accounts or assignment of permissions.
  • Setup and configuration of workstations and software.
  • Transportation and setup of equipment at various sites, primarily local but with limited travel if necessary.
  • Communicate with Network Manager when issues need to be escalated or are otherwise outside the normal scope of duties.
  • Other duties as required.
