The client for this position is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) in Albany, NY Information Technology Specialist for SQL Responsibilities The client is the Real Estate Division of the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) in Corning Tower, Albany, NY

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, database management, and ETL processes.
  • Extensive experience with data mapping, cleansing, testing, and migration of large datasets.
  • Expertise in reporting and analytics tools like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with a variety of data-related technologies, including modeling and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to multitask, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritizing workload.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement SQL scripts to support data cleansing and migration for system enhancement projects.
  • Automate data synchronization processes and optimize existing SQL scripts for AiM.
  • Create and manage system reports using tools like Crystal Reports, BIRT, and Tableau.
  • Analyze business requirements to plan, execute, and validate data migration projects.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise data management software systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to build data strategies and models.
  • Create clear and detailed documentation. This can include user manuals, system specifications, design documents, and release notes to support System Administrators and end-users.
