About The Position

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I of the School Fiscal Service Division (SFSD), the Information Technology Specialist I is responsible for managing the information technology (IT) solutions of SFSD, specifically the Integrated Apportionment System (IAS), which includes the Principal Apportionment Data Collection (PADC) Web-based and the Apportionment applications. This position is the project lead on the update to the new Apportionment Application including coordination with contractor, current IT team and SFSD leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the IT Project Manager in the School Fiscal Services Division and manage, implement and support the transfer of the new Apportionment Application update.
  • Work with Technology Services Division (TSD), Administrators and Managers to prepare and oversee work plans to ensure successful transition from existing application to the updated application.
  • Along with the other IT staff, ensure IT systems are fully tested for timely deployment of both desktop and web-based applications.
  • Assist with identifying technical solutions to improve functionality and user interface based on system requirements.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements, verbally and/or through written documentation to TSD and management.
  • Analyze, develop and document business and technical requirements for current and future IT solutions with in SFSD.
  • Complete required training to develop skills necessary to program in updated Apportionment Application.
  • Keep current with industry trends and new technologies, by reviewing technical literature and performing independent research.
