About The Position

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I, Information Technology Division, Infrastructure Unit, the Information Technology Specialist I is responsible for configuring and supporting servers, storage systems and collaboration solutions for the Infrastructure Unit.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of or experience in Networking Administration, specifically in operating Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Wireless Networks
  • Knowledge of or experience in Server Administration, specifically Windows Operating Systems
  • Proficient knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Security Administration, specifically working with security tools, vulnerability management, patching, firewall technologies or DevSecOps collaboration or implementation
  • Knowledge of or experience in Storage Administration, specifically with Storage Area Network (SAN) administration or management
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft On-Premise and Cloud Backend Services (e.g. Azure, Active Directory, Exchange Online, DNS, DHCP)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, technical environment
  • Ability to seek out independent resources of technical information to apply to on-the-job problems
  • Strong decision-making skills concerning IT policies, processes and procedures
