About The Position

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist I is a member of the Enterprise Systems Development web team and is responsible for development and maintenance of department's web sites and remediation of electronic documents to comply with accessibility requirements. This position will provide technical support to the Department's projects involving web development for static and dynamic HTML websites as well as SharePoint-based sites. This position utilizes expert skills in coding, testing, and maintaining custom, interactive, secure, mission critical websites and web accessibility requirements. The Information Technology Specialist I must have the ability to learn new concepts, understand system to system relationships and interfaces and maintain cooperative working relationships with business partners and the development team to identify goals and objectives. The incumbent must possess strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills; works independently, participate in meetings, provide status reports, and completes work assignments in an effective, accurate, and timely manner. The incumbent must keep up with current industry trends, standards and practices related to web development, publishing, video production and accessibility requirements.   • Experience with designing logos, cards, brochures, and other graphic materials for publication and/or electronic distribution.
  • Knowledge of best practices for web application development frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio Code and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience and proficiency in using Adobe applications including, but not limited to Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
  • Experience using Microsoft applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of macOS.
