About The Position

The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is seeking a Project Manager to join ADS's Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) as a Project Manager level II. We have a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with some flexibility in these hours and the potential for telework while living within the State of Vermont. This is the second level of five in the ADS EPMO Project Manager series. Under some supervision and partnering with peers, project managers at this level work with information technology (IT) staff, subject matter experts (SMEs), and program leaders to coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, design, implement, and enhance information systems and services for the State of Vermont. Work is performed under the direct supervision of an experienced team member until the time the candidate demonstrates the skillset to conduct activities independently. Examples of work include: Creating, baselining, and executing project work plans, including scope, schedule, and cost, and revising as appropriate. Identifying and coordinating the allocation of resources, ensuring that the resource plan is executed consistently with the overall project goals and schedule. Project managers at this level monitor and control the day-to-day project aspects of one or more projects. Reviewing deliverables prepared by the vendor to ensure consistency with requirements and recommends acceptance or rework. Developing and vetting risk mitigation plans. Accomplishing document management, including version control, and creating project records. Accomplishing earned value management calculations and reporting by tracking team hours, progress in terms of scope, and expenses.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years or more of experience in the field of information technology including one (1) year or more where the primary role was a project manager.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, or an Information Technology field.
