About The Position

Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Information Technology Manager I plans, directs, manages, and supervises the activities, functions, and projects of the Public Utilities Commission's (CPUC) Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Section. This position is responsible for overseeing Application Development and Maintenance, Web Development, and Cloud Automation and Development teams. The incumbent works with other ITSD Sections and CPUC programs to ensure cohesive and timely IT project implementation and continually evaluates processes for future policy and procedural revision.   • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships within the department and amongst contracted vendor representatives, State control agency administrators, governmental entities, and outside stakeholders.
  • Participate in the technical workload planning, and change advisory committee activities for the project which includes prioritization, solution assessment, level of effort estimations and analysis for new or changed technical implementation.
  • Oversee the creation and adoption of architectural documentation for the systems and processes, such as System • Design Documents (SDD) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD).
  • Coordinate process, policy, documentation for the technical systems and their partners.
  • Manage technical customer engagement and supports technical improvements through coordination.
