About The Position

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. Are you passionate about customer service and want to make a difference? If so, this position may be for you! The Information Systems Division is recruiting for an Information Technology (IT) Manager I to lead a dynamic team in the End User Support Team. The incumbent's team provides extraordinary customer service to our clients by providing Tier 1 through Tier 2 support services to DMV team members with a focus on endpoint devices, peripherals, and application support. The incumbent should have experience in contract, project, budget, and configuration management. In addition to technical skills, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day activities and administration of the team and is expected to assist executives and other team leaders in the understanding of what services are available and future projects and endeavors; responsible for vendor and/or contract management and participates in procurement oversight; knowledge of IT hardware and software assets and their lifecycles; and ability to make recommendations and implement changes effectively and efficiently. Requirements

  • Experience in contract, project, budget, and configuration management
  • Knowledge of IT hardware and software assets and their lifecycles
  • Ability to make recommendations and implement changes effectively and efficiently

  • Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and experience in ServiceNow ITSM application user and/or administration.
  • Knowledge of tools used to support endpoint device management and mobile device management such as Intune, SCCM, Tanium, Microsoft Autopilot, Azure Active Directory, and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of IT Security, standard security practices, and security related applications.
  • Experience in Operations functions, such as patching systems for security and/or performance, development and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards for operational effectiveness.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of ways to a wide audience.

  • May travel to various DMV locations to provide expertise for IT operations
