About The Position

The Information Technology Manager is responsible and accountable for overseeing our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. This candidate will also supervise the implementation and maintenance of the resort's computing needs. He/she will also contribute advanced knowledge and skill in technology and general hospitality business knowledge to support the property and technology Information Resources objectives.

Requirements

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a leader in a technology department.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality operating systems and software.
  • Strong administrative, interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of commitment.
  • This position will require the operation of a motor vehicle.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university; 2 years' experience in information technology or related professional area. OR 4-year bachelor's degree in information technology, or related major.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.
  • Understand and implement administrative policies and procedures.
  • Conduct administrative research and analysis.
  • Collect, evaluate, and interpret varied data, evaluate alternatives, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), graphics, and database programs to develop reports, databases, and communications materials.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
  • Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk.
  • Use the telephone and computer keyboard daily.
  • Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation
  • Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.
  • Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified Software Engineer, preferred.
  • Second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, ensures, and manages the acquisition and maintenance of property-based systems.
  • Analyzes information, identifies current and potential problems, and proposes solutions.
  • Maintains, inspects, and repairs equipment.
  • Ensures that computer and network operations are monitored at the property, backup/recovery functions are performed on scheduled basis and administration functions for hardware, operating and application systems are maintained and completed on consistent basis.
  • Provide team support for properties & offices within the hotel on an on-going basis.
  • Manages IR activities to ensure the property infrastructure and applications systems are always functional.
  • Generates systems communications for property users to introduce new applications, provide user tips, alert users of system problems and inform staff of progress or status.
  • Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any property projects on schedule and according to specification.
  • Ensures proper asset management.
  • Performs on-site monitoring of all projects.
  • Manages vendors for property IT requirements functioning as escalation point for problem resolution.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
