About The Position

Under the direction of the Hendrick Motorsports - IT Operations Manager, this position provides technical assistance to computer system users. This is a one-year internship opportunity. This position answers questions and resolves computers issues in-person, via phone or Teams. The successful candidate in this role provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and/or software including printing, installation, electronic mail, and operating systems. This position does require weekend work as the successful candidate will provide IT support to the TOC (Technical Operations Center) during race weekends.

  • Must have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
  • Must be a full-time student (12 semester hours) attending a dour-or two- year university
  • Must be available to work for one year as an IT intern

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical and troubleshooting analysis for internal customers
  • Logs and tracks all IT related equipment issued to employees
  • Secure orders for new IT equipment
  • Assist with MFA functionality on user devices
  • Resolves IT related issues remotely or in-person
  • Provides assistance to the maintenance and support for the servers to ensure that they are up-to-date, secure and operational
  • Responsible for maintaining and upgrading office computers and equipment as needed
  • Assists in installation of network cabling and other network equipment
  • Installs workstation and other related equipment
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions equipment and applications
  • Active directory maintenance
  • Ensure Ethernet port to patch panel to switch connectivity
  • Assist other IT team members with various projects
