The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking to fill one (1) Information Technologist 2 position in the Information Services Division. What You’ll do as an Information Technologist 2: Manage full user access lifecycle, including provisioning, updates, and deprovisioning. Administer and support Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and ensure compliance with security policies. Maintain user and application access in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), including privileged access and reviews. Support security compliance through scans, vulnerability remediation, and audit evidence preparation. Execute core Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions to maintain secure, standardized, and policy-aligned authorization controls. Assist with metadata validation, data loading, application maintenance, and testing. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Support system enhancements through script updates and operational improvements. Write and execute unit and system test scripts and verify results. Provide technical troubleshooting and customer service support. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent system or service requests. Stay current on technological trends, security practices, and agency procedures. Primary Technology: Microsoft Active Directory A full Position Description will be provided during the interview process.

Requirements

  • 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers and/or telecommunications software/hardware, applications, support products, projects or databases for small scale systems or programs or pieces of larger systems or programs including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with identity lifecycle management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).
  • Knowledge of compliance processes, security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and audit support.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or similar automation tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain document documentation and work independently or collaboratively.
