Information Systems Support Specialist Stauffers of Kissel Hill has a career opportunity for the ideal candidate to join our IS team at the Corporate Office. This is a full time position at our Corporate Office, requiring Monday thru Friday with evening and weekends, as necessary. This individual must have a generalist perspective to Information Technology with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and have a strong troubleshooting background to join our growing team. Requirements

  • Troubleshooting: Possess a strong background in troubleshooting for a wide variety of hardware and software.
  • Hardware: Experience in support for Networking and Internet related issues and escalate to appropriate teams or vendors (Sonicwall, HP, Windstream, Comcast, and various other equipment and vendors). PC's & Peripherals: Provide support for computer equipment and Windows Operating System and various peripherals connected to PC’s (Printers, Scanners, Monitors, UPS’s, and various other equipment). Phones: Provide support for Analog & IP Phone Systems (Inter-Tel, Mitel, Axxess Networks, Windstream
  • Software: A working knowledge to assist in support of software used by both IS and other departments (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, RORC, Epicor Eagle, and various other software).
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and diagnosis of problems with ISP like Windstream and Comcast.
  • Experience using and supporting Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Google Workspace and Chrome OS.
  • Must able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have valid Class "C" PA Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor Eagle, Dumac viPOS, Dynamics GP is a plus.
  • Experience with Sonicwall and HP/Aruba networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for users reporting technical issues via phone, email, chat or in person.
  • Diagnose problems as they occur. Perform remedial actions and refer major repairs to appropriate internal teams or external providers.
  • Document interactions and any changes made to hardware, software, or system configurations. Keeps current documentation up to date.
  • Review outstanding tickets, resolve issues, or escalate to appropriate team members or vendors as needed.
  • Provides technical support during physical inventory on site.
  • Trains users in learning procedures and resolving common technical problems that arise.
  • Assist IS team in the following areas: Configuring and installing new hardware on-site.
  • Configure and install new software on-site or through remote access if able.
  • Perform regular maintenance and service to IS hardware and software.
  • Evaluate and look for trends in support and alert management if problems arise.
  • Test, evaluates and recommends new equipment and software to IS Management.
  • Participate with larger projects as part of the IS Team (Rollout of new software or hardware on large scale).
  • Write or revise user manuals and procedures.
