About The Position

The Judicial Branch is a state-funded Branch of Government that offers medical/dental/vision, $20,000 free basic life insurance, state-matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, tuition reimbursement and more. The person in this position will provide technical assistance to county court/probation computer and application users. Responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for technology related issues to trouble shoot and provide solutions whether through direct intervention, or as a liaison to service providers and 3rd party support agencies and vendors. Supported systems and hardware include but are not limited to network devices and connections, e-mail system, internet access, desktop and laptop computers, printers, and scanners, video conferencing systems, online software applications, video recording, telephone and voice conferencing systems, and digital recording.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; 3-5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Nebraska court system and previous experience working with Nebraska Courts is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Providing remote and in-person technical support to end-users and coordinating with vendors and other technical support staff for installations, troubleshooting, repair, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Monitoring, configuring, and maintaining equipment and systems in assigned area of responsibility including: troubleshooting computer, network, systems, and/or related hardware and software problems; evaluating issues; and installing, upgrading, and configuring hardware, software, and peripheral equipment and devices.
  • Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory and supplies to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Providing training and developing instructional materials to assist users with systems, software, and hardware usage.
  • Setting up accounts and permissions and configuring hardware and software for new users and maintains database of user accounts.
  • Performing other duties of a similar nature or level.
