Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at University of South Florida or University of Tampa pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or Risk Management from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with credit unionpersonnel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to learn complex security concepts or software with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.
  • Must be able and willing to collaborate on camera via Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a Network Security course preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, identify and collaborate with IT to mitigate critical vulnerabilities, ensuring successful remediation.
  • Partner with IT to conduct regular meetings on vulnerabilities, associated risks, and remediation actions.
  • Duties involve researching vulnerabilities, including new zero-day threats, and analyzing remediation strategies.
  • Track threat actors' tactics and assist in preparing updated remediation plans for key contacts, maintaining the organization's security posture.
