About The Position

The Information Security intern will support the Information Security and IT Security teams in preparing for certifications required by the U.S. Department of Defense and the German automotive industry, utilizing Microsoft GCC High and Microsoft Commercial tenants.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited university (Junior or Senior academic standing).
  • Pursuing a degree in Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to think critically and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for business and technology.
  • Interest in learning security information and creating appealing visualizations, with an understanding of cybersecurity.
  • Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and assertive.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to take feedback and iterate on dashboards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Openness to learning new tools, technologies, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the document creation requirements for demonstrating control implementation for certifications such as CMMC, TISAX, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security, IT Security, IT teams, and external consultants to collect and organize policies, procedures, and supporting artifacts.
  • Organize these policies, procedures, and artifacts in a repository to support the teams and during audits.
  • Participate in meetings and shadow team members to capture detailed system and process knowledge.
  • Document findings and update the knowledge repository with information gathered during shadowing sessions.
  • Follow established department documentation standards and templates.
  • Perform testing and quality checks to ensure the control implementation, accuracy and usability.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer training sessions and solution reviews.
  • Support user documentation, training, and adoption of Microsoft solutions
